Mary was born on January 7, 1933 in Los Banos to Frank S. and Gloria Garcia. She graduated from Westside Union High School in 1951. She married Eddie Cordeiro on June 22, 1952. They were married 57 years and had 3 children: John, Leann, and Jayne.
She worked at the family business for many years. She worked at Tri-Valley Growers for 22 seasons, and was an independent Consultant for Mary Kay.
Mary enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. She loved being with family and her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was involved in several organizations during her lifetime including Our Lady of Fatima Society, Altar Society, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Society, Golden Agers, Red Hat Ladies, and YLI (Young Ladies Institute). She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mary was always a willing volunteer at her children's school, 4-H Projects and/or church for a bake sale.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband Eddie Cordeiro; Parents Frank S. and Gloria Garcia; and her sister Bernie and brother-in-law Wayne Warren. She is survived by her children: John Cordeiro, Leann Romanazzi and Jayne (Herky) Gonsalves; Grandchildren: Jordan (Gina) Cordeiro, Jared Cordeiro, Joseph Romanazzi and Hercules (Lorrie) Gonsalves; Great Grandchildren: Mia, Ivanna, Gavin and Gunnar.
On August 14, 2025 a visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church; at 10:00 a.m., the holy rosary will be recited; and at 10:30 a.m. the funeral mass will begin. Burial will follow at the San Joquin Valley National Cemetery.
