Alda was born on November 21, 1940, on Teiceira in the Azores Island, Portugal. In 1947 she and her family immigrated to the United States and eventually settled in Gustine, Ca.
She graduated from Gustine High School in 1960 and married Manuel Moitozo on February 25, 1968, in Gustine, Ca. They were married for 57 years and lived in Los Banos their entire marriage.
Alda worked for the Gustine Unified School District for 30 years as a bilingual aide and school secretary.
She loved her family and friends, enjoyed seeing her grandchildren grow up, traveling to the coast and attending many Portuguese festas in the area.
She was involved with many organizations and clubs during her live, including YLI (Young Ladies Institute), the OLF Society and OLM Society.
Alda was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Francesca Teixeira and her brother Tony Teixeira.
She is survived by her husband Manuel, and children Michele (Marcus) Vause and Stephen (Denise) Moitozo and 5 grandchildren Adriana Moitozo, Nicole Moitozo, Christina Moitozo, Madison Vause and Mathew Vause.
Services will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at St Joseph Catholic Church in Los Banos at 10am.
