Ernest Joseph Nunes, 92 years old, passed away in his Red Bluff, Ca. home on August 26, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Los Banos on December 31, 1930.
Ernest ("Whistler") worked for 42 years with Mello/Kings County truck lines. He retired in 1986 and relocated to Red Bluff Ca. He was a hard-working man who loved his family dearly. He loved to RV and socialize with family and friends.
Ernest was preceded in death by his wife Alice Marie Nunes, his parents Edward and Mary Nunes of Los Banos, his sons Ed, Frank and Richard and his siblings Flora, Victor, George and Henry Nunes.
Ernest is survived by his sister Geri Alves, daughters Naomi and Andrea and son Roger Nunes as well as 15 grandchildren. He will return home November 6th, 2023. Services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church on November 6th. Rosary at 11am followed by mass at 11:30. Graveside blessing following at the Los Banos Cemetery.
