Jose Isabel Rodriguez Gonzalez passed away peacefully in his sleep on May 27, 2023. He was born on October 14, 1955, in Guanajuato, Mexico.
Joe, as his family and friends called him, graduated from James Lick High School in San Jose in 1974. He joined the Marine Corp rising to the rank of Sargent. He met the love of his life Victoria in 1979 and they married in 1981. Joe worked for San Jose Medical Center until it closed and then went to work for Regional Medical Center - San Jose for a combined 30 years until he retired in February of this year.
Joe was a lifelong fan of the 49ers. His passion was his music, and he carried his guitar everywhere he went. He and his wife love traveling, especially cruces. The moved to Los Banos in 2000 and he loved his "little town".
Joe supported Pacheco High School football and attended every home game he could.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents Benigno and Juaquina (Zaragoza) Gonzalez, stepfather Salvador Zaragoza and his brothers, Roman Gonzalez and Marco Antonio Zaragoza.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 42 years Victoria Gonzalez, his children: Salvador Gomez, Gilbert Gonzalez, Catrina Gomez, AJ Gomez-Gonzalez, Francisco (Bo) Gomez and Anisa Gomez, his brothers John Gonzalez and Robert Zaragoza, his sister Estella Diaz and numerous nieces and nephews. He loved all of his 16 grandchildren and his five great grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed and remembered lovingly by his family and friends.
