Janine Falasco, 89, passed away June 17, 2002. "Jan" (as her friends knew her) was born in Sacramento, CA and settled in Los Banos after she married Ted Falasco. They had two daughters, Linda and Susie. Jan was a teacher for many years, and for the last 21 years has been the Chief Executive Officer of Los Banos Gravel Company Inc.
She was a teacher, wife, mother and CEO. Her favorite activities were playing tennis with her ladies and afternoon Bridge Club with her cronies.
She was an original member of Flower Arrangers and A Women's Investment Group. Jan was a talented but modest artist and an avid reader. She conquered extremely difficult crossword puzzles and later on she tackled Sudoku. Her mornings were spent sitting at the kitchen window, drinking coffee, reading newspapers and watching the humming birds.
Preceded in death by her husband Ted Falasco; her parents Si and Doris Kunde.
Jan is survived by her daughters Linda Falasco Mavilla and Susan Falasco Toscano; Granddaughters Lia Toscano and Tess Toscano; Great Grandchildren Carmela Jorge and Roman Jorge; and her brother Ken Kunde.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 11:00 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapels, Los Banos; burial will follow at the Los Banos District Cemetery.
