Wayne Arthur Harrison was born in Los Banos on February 7, 1947 to Art and Norma Harrison. He grew up with siblings Jerry, Margie, Faye and Lorna.
He earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Agriculture Business Management in 1969 at Cal Poly. He married Barbara Ann Saye on September 6, 1969. In 1970, he joined the United States Army.
He then became a beekeeper and moved to Australia with Barbara. His son Kade was born in 1973. Wayne returned to Los Banos later that year. In 1975, his daughter Becky was born.
In 1977, Wayne was promoted to Captain in the United States Army. He was in Kiwanis International for many years, where he enjoyed serving the community and performed many duties as the CEO of Bonehead Cattle Company. After 52 years, he retired from beekeeping.
Wayne had an outstanding sense of humor and a love for life. He was handy and made creative things for his friends and family. His light-hearted, kind ways will always be remembered. He was the type of person that would do anything for anyone. Wayne was always the life of the party and many remember having fun at his family's Christmas tree burning parties and get togethers at his Idaho cabin.
Wayne was 75 years old when he passed, on May 14, 2022 in Los Banos. He is survived by his wife Barbara Harrison and his children Kade and Becky Harrison.
Wayne's Celebration of Life will be held at Sportsman's (13989 Mercy Springs Road, Los Banos, CA 93635) on Saturday, May 28, 2022 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please stop by and share a story or two with his family and friends.
