With sadness and love, the family and friends of Gloria A. Coelho announce her passing on February 3, 2022 at her home in Fresno, California, surrounded by her family. Gloria was born to Arturo and Rose Laveglia on August 3, 1935 in Los Banos, California.
Gloria was a graduate of Los Banos High School. She and her husband Donald began their life together in Los Banos where Gloria was a longtime employee of Bank of America and United Security Bank. In 1981, she and her husband Donald moved to Firebaugh, California where they owned and operated Westside Ford-Lincoln-Mercury.
Gloria loved life and cherished moments spent with her family. She was especially proud of her daughters and grandchildren. She truly enjoyed the many "get togethers" on holidays and special occasions. Spending time with her family was her most valued treasure. Her grandchildren will deeply miss their precious "Noni" and will forever hold a special love in their hearts in remembrance of her kindness and compassion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Coelho, a sister, Jean Freitas, a brother Italo Laveglia, and six half brothers Frank, Anthony, Louis, Joseph, Ernest, and Albert Toscano.
Gloria is survived by her sister Eva Gomes, her three daughters Deena O'Banion, Darci Coelho, and Darla Giffen, grandchildren Michael O'Banion, Emanuel Tousounis, Nikolas Tousounis, Amelia Ellis and Victoria Souza, as well as two great grandchildren, Ellie and Madison O'Banion, and a great grandson, Jaxson Ellis to arrive in March.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel (1840 Center Avenue, Los Banos, California) at 8:00 am, followed by the Rosary at 9:30 am and Funeral Service at 10:00 am. Burial at the Los Banos Cemetery District.
