Severiano Banda, a long time resident of Firebaugh, California passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Saturday, September 14, 2013 at a hospital in Fresno, California. He was 81.
Severiano was born February 1, 1932 in Alamo, Texas, the son of Candelario and Marciana (Escobedo) Banda.
Serveriano worked for Bailey Elementary School for over ten years. He was known as "Grandpa" in the community of Firebaugh. He loved the children at the school and enjoyed working with them.
He will be deeply missed and remembered lovingly by his family and friends. Thanks for being such a great dad and grandpa and for loving us so much.
He is survived by his wife Socorro Banda; three children; Marsha Villarel and her husband Anastacio, Santa Ceja and her husband Rudy Edward, Angelo Banda and his wife Veronica, five grandchildren and many family and friends.A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2013 from 5:00-6:30 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Firebaugh, rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Firebaugh. Services under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel in Firebaugh, Ca.
