Brenda Barcellos Leue, 42, passed away on October 14, 2013. Brenda was born and raised in Los Banos and attended Los Banos High. She was very involved in softball, 4H, FFA, and also a cheerleader. After high school, Brenda attended Fresno State and graduated with a BS in Psychology. She began her 20 year career with Families First, NAMI, and Blue Sky Wellness Center.

Brenda had the most endearing qualities. She greeted everyone with a big hello, sincere smile and an affectionate hug. She was warm, compassionate and down to earth. She loved being a mother. Brenda was a devoted mother to her children, devoted sister to her siblings, and loving aunt to her nieces and nephews. She chose her career wisely because she had a special love for those in need.

Brenda is survived by her children: Bryce Leue, Claudia Leue, Cole Leue and their father Paul Leue. Her parents: Arnold and Terry Barcellos; Fiance: Curtis Thornton; Siblings: Bonnie (Jimmy) Carver, Aaron (Jennifer) Barcellos, Aric (Stacee) Barcellos, Tama Clarke, and Bethany (Ken) Lewis. Nieces and nephews: Ali Germino, Jake Barcellos, Joshua Mathews, Mariah Mathews, Alec Barcellos, Ayden Barcellos, Corbin Clarke, Savannah Lewis and Presley Lewis; One grand-nephew: Luke Germino.
Services will be held on Friday, October 18th in Los Banos. A celebration of Brenda’s Life will begin with a Visitation at 8:30 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel; At 10:00 am, the rosary will be recited at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, the funeral mass will be at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at the Los Banos District Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please send donations to NAMI (National Alliance of the Mentally Ill) Fresno Chapter or to a charity of your choice. Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~Los Banos.
