Donald William Fennell, a business man and longtime resident of Firebaugh, California, passed away Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at a hospice home in Fresno. He was 68.
Don was born August 31, 1945 to William and Pat Fennell in Albuquerque, NM. Don graduated from Coalinga High School in 1963 and Fresno State University in 1967. Don came to Firebaugh in 1973. He was employed as a teacher before purchasing and operating a bar in Firebaugh. Don was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Firebaugh.

Don is survived by his wife of 45 years, Kristy Fennell of Firebaugh, CA. One daughter: Karen and her husband Jeff Moormann of Mission Viejo, CA. Five grandchildren: Crosley Smith, Courtney Smith, Cash Moormann, Cruze Moormann and Coast Moormann, all of Mission Viejo, CA. His mother Pat Fennell of Palm Desert and three siblings: David Fennell of Huntington Beach, Dick Fennell of Lake Elsinore and Carolyn Fennell of Coto de Caza.

The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at Noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Firebaugh, CA.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hinds Hospice House: 1416 Twain St., Fresno, CA 93711.

Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapels of Firebaugh.
