Lois Tolbert a longtime resident of Dos Palos, CA passed away at Mercy Medical Center in Merced on Friday, November 1, 2013. She was 68.
Lois was born October 5, 1945 in Los Banos, CA, the daughter of James and Opal McGee. Lois grew up in Dos Palos and she attended the local schools. She met the love of her life Jerry and they married on October 5, 1959 in Dos Palos, CA. Lois enjoyed cooking and her family said she was very good at it. She loved her animals and she loved being a homemaker. Lois was known for her immaculate home. She was a volunteer for the Brown Bag Program. She was a longtime member of the Lighthouse Church since 1970. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Norma, Bobbie Jo, Lorraine and her daughter Tammy Jean Tolbert.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Tolbert of Dos Palos, CA, three children: Jerry Tolbert, Jr of Dos Palos, Judy Calderon-Ballard of Atwater, Terry Pierce of Murphys, CA. and her granddaughter she raised Desiree Tolbert. Nine grandchildren Nine great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
