Maydell Smith, a resident of Hayward, California, previously of Stockton, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Hayward, California. She was 93.
Maydell was born August 25, 1919 in Camden, AR, the daughter of Willie and Cannie (Allen) Walker. She lived in Las Vegas for many years.
Maydell was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Alford Smith, Jr. in 2005.
She is survived by her son; Robert T. Ellis of Las Vegas, NV, her niece; Ruth Brinkley of Hayward, CA and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 11:00 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos. Graveside Service at 1:30 pm at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Gustine, CA where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
