John McSwain, 54, of Los Banos passed away on Friday, January 17, 2014. John was born July 1, 1959 to Howard and Alice McSwain. John attended Our Lady of Fatima School and graduated from Los Banos High School and then attended college at Chico State. He wrestled for both Los Banos High School and Chico State. John was self employed as an electrician. In his leisure, John enjoyed the outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping; and all sports especially baseball and football.
John was a member of Basque Club, Electricians Union and Los Banos Volunteer Fire Department
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Robert & Mable McSwain; maternal grandparents, Pierre and Marie Daguerre; his parents, Howard and Alice McSwain; niece Frances McSwain, and nephew Douglas McSwain.
He is survived by his siblings Denise (McSwain) Schreiber, Gregory McSwain, and Dennis McSwain.
There will be a celebration of John's life with a memorial service on Thursday, January 30, 2014. The rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church and mass will follow.
