Hugh E. Kinney, a long time resident of Dos Palos, California passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Los Banos Nursing & Rehab in Los Banos, California. He was 97.
Hugh was born December 3, 1916 in Dos Palos, CA . The son of Glen and Margaret May (John) Kinney. He attended local schools. He met the love of his life Phyllis and they married. Hugh served the United States ARMY during World War II and his overseas service included both, Italy and North Africa.
Hugh and his wife Phyllis operated the Dos Palos Motor Parts for a number of years before retiring. He was a long time member of the I.O.O.F in Dos Palos. After his retirement, Hugh and his wife traveled to several foreign countries. They also enjoyed trailer traveling with good friends within the U.S.
Hugh and Phyllis became residents at the Los Banos Nursing & Rehab Center in December of 2013. He will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis of Los Banos, two brothers; Hollon Kinney of Fresno, CA and William Kinney of Jerusalem, AR and many family and friends.
