Jose M. Munoz passed away Friday, March 28, 2014 at a hospital in Merced. He was 73. He was born March 23, 1941 to Santos and Gregoria Munoz in Elsa, Texas.
Jose met Josie Alvarez and married her on his birthday in 1961 in Hidalgo, Texas. The family moved to California to make a better life for themselves. Jose immediately became employed with Redfern Ranch where he was hired as an irrigator. Fifty -two years later he was supervisor to over 20 employees when his health was declining and it became necessary for Jose to take medical leave.
When Jose had free time, which was not often, he was a very hard worker and provider for his family, he found enjoyment while hunting and fishing. He would travel to Texas to visit family. His passion, however, was repairing and restoring old vehicles.
Jose's wife Josie speaks of what a good husband and provider Jose was. "We will miss him very much".
A Visitatio will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at New Life Apostolic Church at 8336 Christian Ave., Dos Palos.
