Agustina Martinez passed away peacefully at home in Firebaugh, CA, Tuesday, July 15, 2014, after a lengthy illness. She was 75.
Agustina, also khown as "Delia" was born in Mexicali, Mexico on August 28, 1938 to Juan and Aurora (Quintero) Morales. She and her late husband Jesus moved their family to Firebaugh, California in 1972. Delia was a homemaker who had a passion for music of all genres, especially Mexican music. Her children lovingly remember the unconditional love that she had for them and her grandchildren.
Delia enjoyed time that she spent at the Firebaugh Senior Center playing Bingo and Socializing with the seniors and her friends. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jesus and a daughter Elvia Martinez.
She leaves her loving memories to be cherish by her nine children; Anna Randhawa, Jesse Martinez, Margarita Martinez, Mario Martinez, Enrique Martinez, Veronica Navarro, Claudia Turman, Johnny Martinez and Jose Martinez, also by 27 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A visitation will begin at 9 am Friday, July 18, 2014 at Full Gospel Church, 1225 12th Street, Firebaugh, CA 93622. The Funeral Service will follow at 10 am. Delia will be laid to rest in the Dos Palos Cemetery District.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Delia's name may be made to Hinds Hospice; 2490 W. Shaw Suite 101, Fresno, CA 93711. Whitehurst Funeral Chapels, Inc. is entrusted with the services.
