Mattie D. Holloway passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Anberry Nursing and Rehabilitation in Atwater, CA. She was 88.
Mattie was born to Dudley and Jonnie Johnson on October 23, 1925 in Mississippi.
Mattie married Floyd Holloway in 1956 and they relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she attended church and was a longtime resident until she moved to Merced, California in 2012. Mattie was loved very much by her family and will be truly missed.
Mattie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband floyd Holloway and daughter Crystal Holloway, and four siblings, Virginia Ingram , Lula Mae Davis, Carrie Clark and Dudley Johnson, Jr.
She is survived by a daughter Kenisha Wilson, sons: Quincy and Edward Vaughn and grandson Trevion, all of New Mexico. Her brother Wilson Johnson, Jr. of Madera, CA Sisters: Jessie Mixon of Merced, CA, Mary Smith of Placentia, CA, Margaret Shaw of Dos Palos, CA and a host of nieces and nephews.
