Larry Dean Davis (John), a long time resident of Dos Palos, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Dos Palos Skilled Nursing. He was 61.
Larry was born on December 5, 1952 in Merced, California. He worked as farm laborer for 20 years.
Larry attended local schools. He attended the Baptist Church for many years. Larry loved spending time with the family and friends, fishing, hunting, partying, dancing, playing dominoes and was a devoted Miami Dolphins and Dan Marino fan.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and one brother; Leonard (Nookie) Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memory two children; Crystal Davis from Merced, Larry D. Davis, Jr. from Fresno, five sisters; Shirley Ann Davis, Louella Goldman, Regina Davis, Synell Warren and Audrey Oglesby all from Dos Palos, three brothers; Rodney Davis from Dos Palos, Calvin Davis from Fresno and Timothy Crane from the Bay Area, three grandchildren; Delvon and Odrey Manning and Armani Davis and many other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos from 5-7 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 11:00 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel. Burial at the Dos Palos Cemetery District. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Dos Palos.
