Ishmael Joseph Escalante, a resident of Dos Palos, California suddenly passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 in Merced. He was 24.
Ishmael was born October 8, 1990 in Los Banos the son of Christina Marie Escalante.
Ishmael graduated from the Dos Palos High School. He was very close to his uncles and aunt by marriage; Abel, Jesus and Maria. Ish was raised like a brother to his uncles and aunts. Ishmael loved monkeys, superheroes, music and dancing. He walked into the door dancing and he will leave dancing the night away. Ishmael was a great dancer and choreographer. He was like a giant teddy bear, always giving big bear hugs, sweet and polite to all. His favorite color was purple. He had many friends who loved him like family so he will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and friends.
He is survived by his mother; Christina Escalante, Grandma (Mom) Patti and her husband Vidal Ramirez, who raised him like a son, aunts; Priscilla, Deanna and Shaleka Escalante, uncles; Rudy and Rene Escalante and Christopher Tatarakis, grandfather; Loy Escalante, great grandmothers, great aunts and uncles, cousins who he was incredibly close, many family and friends. He will live forever in our hearts. Dance in heaven forever beautiful son.
A visitation will be held Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos followed by the Funeral Service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Dos Palos Cemetery District. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Dos Palos.
