Ruby D. Moody a long time resident of Dos Palos, California passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2015 in Atwater, California. She was 80.
Ruby was born November 20, 1934 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma the daughter of Birdie and Meritte (Davis) Baker.
Ruby came to Dos Palos with her family in 1943 when she was nine years old. She attended the local schools and graduated from the Dos Palos High School. Ruby met William Moody and the married on April 25, 1956. Ruby was a member of the Dos Palos Senior Citizens. She will be deeply missed and remembered lovingly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; William Moody and one son: William Ross Moody.
Ruby is survived by her daughter; Vesta (Joe) Merrell of Atwater, CA, one sister: Meritte Turner of Dos Palos, CA, two grandchildren: Catherine Merrell of Atwater and Casey Merrell of Hawthorne, CA and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was privately laid to rest at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Dos Palos
