Amalia Ruiz Castaneda a life time resident of Firebaugh, California passed away surrounded by her loved ones at her son’s home on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in Madera, California. She was 64.
Amalia was born April 3, 1951 in Firebaugh, CA the daughter of Jesus and Eleanor (Vindiola) Ruiz. She lived all her life in Firebaugh and was a member of St. Joseph Church. Her friends and family knew her by Molly. She worked in Agriculture for 35 years.
She will be greatly missed and remembered by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings who died as infants, one sister: Frances Perez, two brothers: Greg Ruiz and Lupe Ruiz, and one daughter; Vanessa Marie Gonzalez.
She is survived by her two children; Rene Castaneda (Melisssa Martinez) of Madera, CA and Anna Gonzales (Alex Patlan) of Firebaugh, CA, siblings; Valentine (Theresa) Ruiz, Jessie Patina, Mickey Meza, Ramona Jimenez and Mary (Francisco) Ramirez, six grandchildren; Isaac, Michael, Jazmine, Alexxa, Aleena and Abrinna and many family and friends.
A Vigil Service with Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 9:00 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Firebaugh followed by The Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Burial at the Dos Palos Cemetery District.
