Obidio Garcia, a long time resident of Dos Palos, California passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Hy-Lond Health Care Center in Merced, California. He was 80.
Obidio was born October 30, 1934 in Runge, Texas. The son of Aparicio and Sinforasa (Hinojosa) Garcia. He married Aurora Salinas on December 27, 1958 in General Trevino, Mexico. He relocated to Dos Palos, California in 1951 and soon began working in agriculture.
He enjoyed deer hunting and a quiet life in Dos Palos. Obidio was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Dos Palos. He will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years Aurora Garcia, his parents, three brothers: Hajeo, Fernando and Aparicio Garcia, one sister; Benilde Garcia.
He is survived by his two daughters; Crissey (John) Maldonado of Los Banos, CA, Nancy (Frank) Ayala of Merced, CA , one son; Carlos (Joanna) Garcia of Los Banos, CA, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren; Aiden Galindo Isaiah and Jose.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 5-7pm followed by the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos, CA. Funeral Mass on Friday, June 26, 2015 at Sacred Heart Church of Dos Palos at 10am. Burial at the Dos Palos Cemetery District. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Dos Palos
