Obituary
Herman F. Salha, a native of Los Banos was born March 13, 1931. He passed away November
22, 2015 in Hughson, California surrounded by his loving family. He served in the Korean War
1952 – 1954. When he returned from the war, he married the love of his life, Marlene, in 1955.
Herman worked as an Auto Parts Manager for Kaljian Motors for 32 years. After retirement,
Herman worked for Lindemann Produce, Inc. for seven years. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign War Post No. 2487, Los Banos Parlor No. 206, Native Sons of the Golden West, N.R.A.,
and was a parishoner of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his son, Kurt H. Salha, parents, Manuel and Emma Salha, and father-in-law, Joe C. Cardoza.
Survived by his wife Marlene Salha; Sons: Rhett (Arlene) Salha, and Grant (Lisa) Salha; Grandchildren: Travis (Nikki) Salha, Nathan Salha, Jarred Salha, Hailey Salha and Taylor Salha; and his Mother-in-law Agnes Cardoza.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.
The rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral mass
at 10:30 a.m., burial will follow at the Los Banos District Cemetery. Funeral services are under the
direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapels~Los Banos.
