Shelby Lyons a resident of Los Banos, formerly of Dos Palos, California passed away at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. She was 72 years old.
Shelby also known as Jeannie was born December 15, 1943 in Casa Grande, Arizona, the daughter of Olen and Lessie Lucille (Lutrick) Nunley. After she was living in Arizona and Oklahoma for many years, Shelby came to Dos Palos, CA and made Dos Palos her home.
Shelby enjoyed spending quality time with her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, she had a free range outlook on parenting. She attended Church of Christ. Shelby will be greatly missed and remembered by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Olen and Lessie Nunley, her companion of 20 years; Allen McWalters, three sisters, Joyce, Darlene and Nita, one brother, Rick Nunley and two sons; Terry and Tommy Lyons.
She is survived by her four daughters; Margaret, Lynn, Penny and Shelly, one sister; Marla Bunyard, two brothers; Ronnie and Mike Nunley, 15 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, one great great grandchildren and many family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 from 10 to 11:30 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos, followed by the Funeral Service at 11:30am. Burial at the Dos Palos Cemetery District.
