Obituary
Violet, 94, passed away April 25, 2016 in Los Banos, CA. She was born on December 22, 1921 in Los Banos, CA to Michele and Serafina Germino. Violet was born and raised in Los Banos and worked on her family Dairy and went to Monroe School and Los Banos High School. In 1946 a handsome young man, Ralph Brizzee, came into her life and swept her off of her feet and they married in Reno on June 30, 1946. They were married 59 years. They raised their 3 children in Los Banos. Violet worked as a Bookkeeper. In 1968 they moved to San Jose for 17 years and returned to Los Banos to enjoy their retirement.
Violet enjoyed playing the organ and singing. Her passion was playing cards with family and friends. She played on her I-pad and even played a game of cards in the hospital. She had a standing appointment to have her nails done with her famous nail polish "I'm really not a waitress"
She belonged to the following organizations: Italian Catholic Federation, Madonna Del Carmen, SPRSI, VFW Auxillary, Golden Agers
In her younger years of retirement she enjoyed many trips with Golden Agers but her true joy in life was spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, parents, siblings Jim, Tony, Dan, Frank, Nancy, Carmella, and Mary.
She is survived by her son Gary (Sharon) Brizzee, daughters Sharon (Walter) Mueller and Kathleen (Bob) Brandi; Grandchildren : Michelle (Marchese) and Gary Brizzee; Richard, Kim (Crowley), Amy, and Brad Barton; Rob, Kurt and Shelly (Fifield) Brandi; and 23 Great Grandchildren.
A visitation will be at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 pm, with rosary to follow at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, May 2, 2016 beginning at 9:00 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.
