Obituary
Betty Lorraine Savery was born July 25, 1926 to Admiral and Ireneal Coggins in Nederland, Colorado. She passed away on August 12, 2016 in Merced, California at the age of 90. Betty was raised in Oklahoma and moved to Edgar, Nebraska after her marriage to Richard Kenyon Lines where she ran a farm and feed store. They followed a dream to come to the golden state of California in the 1950’s and settled in the Firebaugh/Dos Palos area where she became a school bus driver for Dos Palos High School. After her retirement she continued to work as a harvester driver when she met and married her second husband Charles (Chuck) Savery. After her retirement for the second time, she stayed very busy with oil painting, knitting, crocheting and gardening.
