Bruce Lowell Vogt passed away at home, with his family around him, on August 21, at the age of 85. Born and raised in Fremont, Ohio as the youngest of seven children, he came to California in 1948 where he met his wife of 66 years, Patricia Lorensen.
He and his family owned and operated Lorensen Propane Gas in Los Banos for 70 years. A man of many talents, he was an accomplished pilot, horseman, and rancher. He was passionate about flying and enjoyed flying friends and family on fishing trips to Mexico and throughout the United States. He and Patricia traveled the world together.
He is survived by his wife Patricia; his three children, Bruce Vogt, Jr. (Linda), Judith Vogt (Rick), and Lydia Corr (Steve) as well as his four grandchildren, Casey Corr, Carson Vogt, Spencer Corr and Evan Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Adriel Vogt.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel in Los Banos.
