Marie Areias, 93, of Los Banos, died September 1, 2016. She was born of the late Leon and Guillhermine Machado on March 1, 1923 in Crowslanding, California.
Marie moved to Los Banos at a young age. In October 15, 1945 she married Frank J. Areias in Los Banos, California.
Marie loved crocheting and knitting. She was a good cook and made very special desserts. She belonged to St. Joseph Parish, Golden Agers of LB, YLI # 169, Native daughters, UPPEC and Supreme Press from 1968 to 1969. She was very dedicated to her family and church.
Marie was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Frank J. Areias, her parents and a step grandson.
She is survived by her two sons, Frank J. Areias Jr. and Kenneth J. Areias, three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
Rosary will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 10 am, Mass will follow at 10:30 am.
