Martin attended Our Lady of Fatima School, graduated in 1974 from Los Banos High School and Fresno State College.
He was a member of the Los Banos Basque Club and Fresno State AGR Fraternity.
Martin was preceded in death by his father Bernard Arbelbide and nephew Jason Stefl.
He is survived by his mother Honorine Arbelbide, sister Jeanne Stefl, children Sean and Sabine Arbelbide, Tara and Douglas Johnson, ex-wife Pamela Toscano and nieces Jacqueline Bettencourt, Jenna Stefl and nephew Jarrod Stefl.
