Valerie was born in San Jose, Ca and raised in Mt. View Ca. She graduated from Mt. View High School in 1980 where she met her husband Andrew Chagoya. Their wedding was on February 8, 1980 and they have shared 36 years together. In 1991 they moved to Los Banos, Ca to raise their three children. She worked for Savemart as a bakery/deli clerk for 26 years.
Valerie had a heart of gold. Valerie had a loving and kind nature to everyone she ever met. She would always greet you with a warm, tender smile. Valerie loved to cook and bake, try different foods, sew, loved her fur babies, arts and crafts, hang out with her friends and family, and be in the company of her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Preceded in Death by her Mother and Father in Law, Dolores and Arthur Chagoya; Paternal Grandparents Jesus Quintana and Rosa Cota; Maternal Grandparents Clifford and Cora Chaney.
Survived by her Husband Andrew Chagoya; daughters Cecelia Chagoya and Adrienne Coppola; son Michael Chagoya; Daughter-in-Law Lorena Chagoya; Son-in-law Neil Coppola; Mother Jeanine Quintana; Father Ernie Quintana; Brothers Ernie and Joe Quintana; Sisters Irene and Linda Quintana; along with numerous extended family members from the Chagoya and Quintana Families. She is also survived by her loving grandsons: Drew Zaas, Haydan Zaas, and Christian Coppola who will also know their Nani as “The Queen of their Hearts.”
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel; rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, November 23, 2016, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. burial will follow at Los Banos District Cemetery. Funeral services under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~ Los Banos.
