John Louis Galli was born March 21, 1928 in Santa Clara, California to Albino and Bertha Galli. John attended local schools and was a graduate of Gilroy High School. On February 18, 1953 he entered the United States Army in San Francisco, California. He served our country during the Korean War and received the Korean War Service Medal, UN Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal. John began his career in Real Estate in the Bay Area and then moved to Los Banos where he continued his career and helped to develop the community, including the Los Banos Shopping Center on Pacheco Boulevard and I Street. In 1962, he was the Realtor for development of “The Gardens” new home community. John was a senior member of the Los Banos Sportsman Association and enjoyed attending the monthly dinners and seeing his hunting and fishing friends. He was also a member of the Los Banos Elks Club. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albino and Bertha Galli; Brother Wilbur Galli and Sister Virginia Stanghellini. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Rose Galli of Los Banos; daughters: Sutton Menezes of Sacramento, Deborah and Laura Galli; Stepchildren: Robert Survera of Porterville, Micheolene Stewart of Los Banos, and Joey Survera; Grandchildren: Nicole Survera, Quintana Menezes, Bobby Survera. Full Military Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 11:30 a.m. at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, 32053 W. McCabe Road, Santa Nella, California.
