Vivian Sanders was called home to be with the Lord on December 24, 2016. Vivian was born on July 13, 1923 to Edna and Ralph Grund in Akron, Ohio. She attended schools in Atwater, Ohio and graduated with honors, then went on to college for 2 years.
She married and had four children. She later returned to college and graduated from Bemidji State College in Minnesota with a degree in teaching. She taught at Goose Lake School in Minnesota for one year. She then moved her family to Los Banos where she taught at Miano School and Henry Miller School until her retirement in 1986.
Upon her retirement she devoted her time to caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to travel and did so whenever possible. She was also an avid reader and accomplish pianist.
She is survived by her son Dean Sanders and daughters Edna Leland) Sparks and Myra Argentieri; four grandchildren: Myron Sanders, Julie Sparks, Michael Gomes and Nikki Gomes Simmons; six great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.
Her service will be held at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel on Thursday, January 5, 2017 @ 2:00 p.m. Her final resting place will be at Riverview Abbey in Portland, Oregon.
