Minnie Trotter, a resident of Los Banos, died Monday in a Los Banos Hospital. She was 91. Minnie was born in Los Banos to Saverio and Teresa Pugliese. After her mother and baby brother’s death, Minnie and her sister were raised by an amazing foster family, John & Josephine Palermo, along with several foster sisters and brothers.

She attended Los Banos schools and worked for the Golden State Creamery until she married. She married the love of her life, Germe Trotter, on June 15, 1947 and was welcomed into a loving family by marriage (Jim & Viola Trotter) and became very close to all of her brothers- and sisters-in-law. They made their home in Los Banos and raised their daughter, Germaine. Minnie spent the last years of her life surrounded by family and friends along with a number of wonderful caregivers.

Minnie was preceded in death by her husband Germe Trotter, her sister Rose Becker, and her nephew David Becker.

She is survived by her daughter Germaine and son-in-law Larry, her grandson Chad Wiley, her granddaughter Tawny Walsh, her grandson-in-law Jason Walsh, and two great grandchildren, Liam and Jaycee Walsh. She is also survived by her foster sisters and brother and several beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16th and the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 17th at 10:00 a.m. Services under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~ Los Banos.
