Obituary
Maria Eustolia Moreno , a resident of Dos Palos, CA passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at her residence in Dos Palos. She was 90.
She was born November 15, 1926 in Durango, Mexico the daughter of Gregorio and Maria (Espinoza) Chavez.
Maria moved to California many years ago from Santa Barbara, Rodeo Durango were she created many friends in the areas of Red Top and Dos Palos. While living in Red Top, CA, she would raise chickens and made and sold cheese to where she met and made many friends.
She spent most of her life sewing, cooking and attending religious events. She was devoted to the Guadalupe Virgen. She recently traveled to Mexico to visit her two sons, Javier and Trinidad, which is something she had wished for ten years. Her daughter, Jovita and son Carlos feel they accomplished something she had wished for before her sudden pass.
Tolita had may friends in Dos Palos where she spent her last years. She loved and welcomed everyone she met and was loved by many Dos Palos residents. She enjoyed family time and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed and remembered lovingly by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and the love of her life Jose Moreno.
Tolita is survived by her children; Jovita Sierra Moreno, Carlos Moreno, Javier Moreno and Trinidad Moreno, seven grandchildren, Maricruz Sierra, Lisset Sierra, Alfonso Sierra Jr., Graciela Sierra, Maria Guadalupe Sierra, Luis Alberto Moreno and Junior Moreno and many other nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A visitation will begin Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 5pm at Sacred Heart Church of Dos Palos. The Rosary will be recited at 7pm. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, February 1, at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in the Dos Palos Cemetery District in Dos Palos, CA.
Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Dos Palos.
