Manuel Silva, a resident of Stevinson, CA passed away surrounded by his loved ones at his home. He was 72.
Manuel was born September 10, 1944 in Beira, Sao Jorge, the son of Miguel and Maria (Soares) Silva. He immigrated to the United States in 1962 and settled in Manteca, CA, shortly after he moved to Tipton, CA.
Manuel married his first wife in 1966 and had two beautiful daughters. He divorced and remarried in 1983, adding two more children to the family. The family became complete in 1986 when his youngest son, Mark was born. Manuel was a milker by trade, but had been retired since 2005. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Miguel Bento and Maria Lourdes Silva, sister, Olga Souza and daughter, Nancy Silva.
He is survived by his children; Eva (Paulo) Costa, Mark (Anissa) Silva, Albano Silveira and Anabela Silveira, two brothers, Edwino (Fatima) Silva and Mike (Maria) Silva, former spouses, Maria Azevedo and Maria Luis and many beloved nieces and nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 from 5- 7pm at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Los Banos followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 pm. The Funeral Mass on Friday, April 7, 2017 at 10:30 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Los Banos. Burial at the Sunnyside Cemetery in Stevinson, CA. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel.
