"Joe", as he was known by all passed in the comfort of his home surrounded by his family on Monday, 9/25/2017. He operated "Los Banos Auto Repair" here in Los Banos for over forty one years. He is survived by his wife Yolanda M. Carrillo of Los Banos, whom he was married to for over 54 years. His daughter Erlinda Chapa of Los Banos, Yvonne T. Gonzalez of Sacramento, Lisa M. Carrillo of El Dorado Hills, Luis Carrillo, Jr of Clovis, and Ricky Vasquez of Sacramento. He had seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren all of whom he adored and loved. Joe was always a great conversationalist, loved collecting antiques and, was an old school mechanic who could figure out any mechanical problem big or small. He would always be ready to greet his customers with a smile, a witty conversation filled with politics and current events and, a compassionate ear for advice. He had a heart of Gold, loved "adopting" all the neighborhood children and, was a true, giving, faithful friend to many. He will be remembered by all for his charm, his warmth, and his kind heart and soul. "Love you forever Dad, you were an inspiration and a blessing to all of us kids, you are in the light now, thank you for loving and giving us your all". Rosary/Memorial will be Thursday October 5th, 2017 at 6P.M. at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel and, services will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church on Friday, October 6th, 2017 at 10:00 AM, with burial to follow at Los Banos Cemetery.
