Concetta “Connie” Sward, 82, of Los Banos, passed away in Modesto on December 26, 2017. She was born March 5, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio. In 1958, she lived in San Jose, CA for 50 years. She worked as a supervisor for Bank of the West for 33 years.
After retiring, Connie settled in Los Banos and became a volunteer at Los Banos Memorial Hospital for 13 exciting years. Due to a health condition, she stayed home, to spend time with family and friends. Connie loved to bake Italian cookies for her grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to casinos, Yosemite and the Bay Area to visit family and friends. In her younger years, she was a good bowler and won three trophies first competition matches. She belonged to the Golden Agers, YLI and Bunco Club.
Connie was preceded in death by John and Bertha Arditi and brother Donald.
She is survived by her husband Ronald; children: Gregory, Cynthia and Tina; Siblings: John, Joseph, Tony, Phyllis, Erma, Mary Jo and Louise; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild; and many family and friends living in Texas, Ohio, New Mexico and California.
