Francis Hogan, a resident of Los Banos, CA passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 in Los Banos. He was 90 years old.
Francis was born July 2, 1927 in Granville, New York. He and his wife Ella of 59 year and first son Michael moved to Gustine in 1952. They later settled in Los Banos, CA having two more sons, Steve and Danny.
Francis got a job with Merced Co. Fire Department and retired after 29 years as a captain. He was also a volunteer fireman for the city of Los Banos for 40 plus years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing with his sons and cooking for Los Banos Fire Department, Police Department, Pal, Care about people org., Ducks unlimited, quails unlimited, 4H, FFA, FFA AG Boosters, Tiger High School Sports Boosters, Sportsman’s, Weddings and parties for friends and helping out his community and friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ella of 59 years and five older sisters.
He is survived by his children: Michael (Nona), Stephen (Sharon) and Danny, five grandchildren: Kym (Hogan) McAdam, Shane, Heather, Derrick and Casey, seven grandchildren: Shane, Samantha, Dustin, Brendon, Rylee, Sean and Cole many beloved nieces and nephews and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 10 – 11 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Los Banos followed by the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11 am. The Funeral Service at 11:30 am. Burial at the Los Banos Cemetery District. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Los Banos
