Helen Ritchie Mc Elvany, formerly a long-time resident of Los Banos, passed away peacefully in her home located in Scottsdale, AZ on May 6, 2026.
She was born January 10, 1937, in St Louis, MO and was the daughter of Dr. Victor L Gould and Geraldine Gould. She was raised in Chula Vista, CA
where she graduated high school. Helen married her high school sweetheart Isaac Samuel McElvany of El Centro in 1956. They have two children
Charles (Holli) Mc Elvany of Los Banos, and Cindy (Gary) Bellitt of Bakersfield. The family moved to Los Banos in 1967 and soon after they
formed their own company, Mc Elvany Tile of Northern CA, Inc. Together they traveled the world and loved spending time in their Lake Tahoe
home. Helen loved the Lord Jesus Christ and remained faithful to him unto her passing. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother of 6 and great-
grandmother of 14.
She was preceded in death by her husband Isaac Samuel Mc Elvany, parents Dr. Victor Gould and Geraldine Gould and three brothers Vic, Gerald
and John Gould.
Helen is survived by her son Charles (Holli) of Los Banos, CA; daughter Cindy (Gary) Bellitt of Bakersfield, CA; six grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
A private family service at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel will be followed by burial at the Los Banos Cemetery District.
