John Louis Latronica

John Louis Latronica, age 83, passed away peacefully at his home on April 17th, 2026. A native of Los Banos, Ca, John lived a life defined by dedication - to his family, his work, his faith, and his lifelong passions.
John was a loving and devoted husband of 57 years to the love of his life, Lauren V. (Brandi) Latronica. Together they built a life grounded in commitment, resilience, and enduring love.
John was the son of a dairy farmer, milking cows and tending to animals, is where he learned the value of hard work, responsibility and perseverance from an early age. These qualities stayed with him throughout his life. He also showed a natural curiosity and talent for electronics and problem-solving. A 1961 graduate of Los Banos High School, John was the President of the Science Club, a reflection of the interests and skills that would shape his lifelong career. He attended Modesto Junior College before enrolling at Fresno State. John also served in the Army National Guard from 1967 to 1974.
John began his career as a skilled TV and VCR repair man with Bressler's Appliance Store, where he served the communities of Los Banos, Dos Palos, and Firebaugh. Known for his precision. John later became a lead technician at Fisher Research Laboratory where he specialized in repairing metal detectors used by professionals and hobbyists around the world.
Outside of his profession, John was an avid Ham Radio Operator (KE6UCX), a passion he pursued when he was first licensed at 16 years old. Through the airwaves, he made countless contacts and formed lasting friendships throughout the region and beyond.
Johns' life was deeply rooted in his faith. He held a strong and unwavering belief in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which guided him throughout his life and brought him peace and comfort until the very end.
John is preceded in death by his grandson, Brandon J. Latronica Jr. of Bakersfield, and his brothers Louis J. Latronica of Morgan Hill, and James A. Latronica of Los Banos.
He is survived by his beloved wife Lauren V. Latronica, sister Carmen Russo of San Jose, Ca, and four children, Melanie, Brandon, Evan and Jonelle. John also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Joel August, Ashley August, Johnny Latronica, Elias Latronica, Elliot Latronica, Janet Zaro and Roehm Gallichio, 2 great granddaughters, Gianna August, Jolene August, and one yet to be born grandson.
