Sylvia Camarillo, a resident of Los Banos, CA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 19, 2026, at the age of 87 years old. She was born on October 10, 1938, the daughter of Salvador and Ernestine Zabala of Salinas, CA.
Sylvia attended public schools in Menlo Park where she met Domingo Camarillo and married him and moved to Gilroy. They were married for 66 years and had three children. She was employed by Nob Hill Foods for over 30 years where she worked as a cashier in Gilroy, San Jose, and Cambria stores.
Sylvia also enjoyed having get togethers at her home with friends and family listening to music and telling fun stories of the past. She was also an avid bowler at the Gilroy Bowling alley and won many plaques and trophies.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Salvador and Ernestine Zabala, her brother and sister-in-law Victor (Peggy) Zabala of Los Banos, Salvador Jr. of Menlo Park and one remaining sister Rebecca Mitchell of Menlo Park.
She is survived by her husband Domingo (Bobby) Camarillo; children, Michael (Laurie), Mark and Renee; grandchildren, Victoria, Michael Jr., Nathan, Stephen, Christopher, Phillip and Alyssa; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Sylvia will be remembered by extended family members and friends who will miss her deeply. She also leaves behind her special friend of many years Doreen Fuentes.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 11:00 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Los Banos, CA.
