Lula (Margaret) Pruett

Margaret was born Lula (Margaret) Posey, on February 25, 1934 in Los Banos, California, to A.D. and Lois Posey. Margaret grew up and graduated from Los Banos High School. She later moved to Sacramento where she remained until 1968 and she moved back to Los Banos, California. In October of 1969, Margaret began fulfilling a career with the California Highway Patrol in Los Banos, California. That career spanned 26 years, until she retired from Headquarters in Sacramento, California in 1995.

Margaret was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, making most of her clothes. She shared her talent for sewing with her family and friends, making beautiful wedding dresses for those close to her.

Margaret is survived by her (3) children; son, Douglas (Barbara) Smalley, daughters, Karen (Michael) Mongelli and Kathleen (Scott) Bettencourt, (6)grandchildren, Brandon (Casey) Smalley, Kara (Casey) Lough, Angela Carney, Joshua Speed, Erica (Eric) Claussen, Derrick (Heather) Hogan, sister Rita F. Silva, (20) great grandchildren and (2) great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents A.D. Posey and Lois Hughes, her brother Troy Posey and grandsons Chadwick Smalley and Casey Hogan.
