Obituary

It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jimmie David Jasso Jr., affectionately known as "Nugget and Ninum," who left us on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 11:01 AM, surrounded by his loving family. He was 59 years old.
Jimmie was born on October 29, 1965, in Merced, California, to Jimmie David Jasso Sr. and Lydia (Lilly) Silva Jasso. From a young age, Jimmie embodied kindness, compassion, loyalty, and an unwavering sense of humor--qualities that would define his life and relationships. He was a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, great uncle, cousin, brother-in-law, godfather (Ninum), and friend to many.
Known for his selflessness and generosity, Jimmie's willingness to put others before himself left an everlasting mark on all who knew him. Whether offering a helping hand or providing a listening ear, he was always there for those in need. His warmth, infectious laugh, and quick wit made him a beacon of light in the lives of his family and friends, and his presence will be profoundly missed.
Jimmie's family meant everything to him. He was a devoted son to his parents, David and Lilly, a loving brother to his sisters Monica, Yvonne, Andrea, and Margaret, and an adoring father to his daughter, Jordan. His bond with his family was the foundation of his life, and he treasured every moment spent with them. He was a huge sports fan of the 49ers and Giants. To his daughter and his nephews, nieces, and cousins, "Ninum," as they all called him,--he was their biggest FAN and Coach. He always made sure to be present at their games, encouraging, supporting, and cheering them on. He was a steadfast mentor, protector, and friend. His unwavering support, guidance, and love were the cornerstones of his life.
In addition to his close-knit family, Jimmie's circle of friends was wide, and his friendships were steadfast and true. He was the kind of person you could always count on, whether for a good laugh, practical advice, or quiet support during tough times.
Jimmie's legacy is one of love, laughter, and loyalty. His impact on the world will not be forgotten, and his spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched.
Jimmie is survived by his mother, Lydia Jasso; his daughter, Jordan Rylee Jasso; his siblings, Monica Magdaleno (Trinidad Magdaleno Sr.), Yvonne Murillo (Manuel Murillo), Andrea Williams (Paul Williams), and Margaret Branstetter (Craig Branstetter); numerous nieces and nephews, cousins; and a host of friends and extended family who will carry his memory forward. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie David Jasso Sr., and his great-nephew, Frank Flores III.
A celebration of Jimmie's life will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on November 22, 2024, at 10:30 AM, where those who loved, him will gather to share memories, honor his legacy, and say goodbye to a man who truly made the world a better place.
Rest in peace, Jimmie (Nugget, Ninum). You were loved beyond measure, and you will forever be in our hearts.
