Obituary
On the evening of July 27, 2023, we all lost a very wonderful man. Emanuel Silveria Borba "Manuel" 57 unexpectedly at his home in Los Banos California.
Manuel was born on January 2, 1966, to Joe and Alda Borba. Six months after his birth, his family moved from the Azores to the United States, where they settled in Los Banos. He attended public schools throughout his elementary through high school years where he graduated in 1984. After this, he made a career in the dairy industry as a herdsman and an AI breeder. He was quite proud of his accomplishments as he had become an excellent cowman. He was also third in the state for his breeding ability. There was no one better than Manuel when it came to cows.
He was a loving family man and a great person to be around. He could make people smile and enjoyed making them laugh. He was the ultimate practical joker, always getting one over on his wife, Laurie. He just loved that.
He was always ready to lend a hand and worked side by side with everyone on the dairies. He never thought he was too good, nor did he say, "That's not my job".
His friends and family will always remember him as a hard-working, funny, and lovable man.
Manuel is survived by his wife Laurie, whom he was married to for 30 wonderful years, his brother John of the Azores, sister Filomena Lebard (Robert) of Merced, brother Octavio Borba (Terry) of Gustine, brother Albert Borba of Los Banos, sister Catherine Borba of Los Banos, sister Elizabeth Borba of Merced. His children Nicole of Los Banos, Brittany of Tacoma Wa, Alex of Walla Walla Wa, and his daughter Abryll and son Evan of Richland Wa, a grandson and granddaughter also of Richland Wa. His Wonderful nieces and nephews and his loving aunts and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his father Joe Borba, his mother Alda Borba, and a very special nephew Raymond Borba.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at 10;30 am, Rosary at 11 am, and Mass at 11:30 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. 1625 Center Ave, Los Banos, Ca.
All of his family and friends are invited to attend.
