Our Beloved Annette Marques a life time resident of Los Banos passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021.
She was born on May 10, 1934 in Los Banos, CA the daughter of Pete and Theresa Montemurro. Annette worked for the Los Banos Livestock Auction Yard, Pacheco Feed and was a bookkeeper for over 30 years for McMahan's/Heiling Meyers Furniture store in Los Banos.
She was an active member of her community and belonged to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, St. Joseph Alter and OLF Societies. Annette was strong of faith which carried her through 87 years of life with a positive and caring attitude. She was a lifelong member of St. Joseph catholic Church where she taught catechism to children.
Annette married the love of her life Alvin John Marques on June 5, 1954. She enjoyed cooking her Italian heritage family recipes for family and friends. She was famous for her Italian Wine Cake which she would always make to give away to family and friends to show her love and kindness to them. She recently was honored by the Old Timers Association as a pioneer of Merced County.
Annette loved her family more than anything and her home was the warmest place to be for the holidays and special occasions. The biggest gift she gave them was the gift of strong faith. She was loved by many and her family finds great comfort in knowing that she is in Heaven living an eternal life with Jesus Christ and is together again with her beloved family and friends that left this world before her. She will be missed and remembered by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband Alvin John Marques and sister Grace Shirley.
Annette is survived by her children: Mike Marques, Steve Marques and wife Toni, Lori Marques, grandchildren Michael, Kelsi and Dylan Marques and granddogs Tess and Pete.
