Calvin L. Bridgeford, a longtime resident of Merced, previously of Dos Palos, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Merced. He was 54.
He was born May 18, 1965 in Fresno, CA the son of Lester Adams and Eileen M. (Carr) Bridgeford.
Calvin was an artist. He was an award winning chess player and an athlete. He had a great sense of humor and always made sure that those around him were filled with laughter. He was a loving brother and a good friend to many. He will be deeply missed and remembered lovingly by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Eileen Bridgeford.
Calvin is survived by his children; Shelbi, Dustin and Kaela Colleen of Arizona, sisters; Debra Sue Bridgeford, Dana Marie Bridgeford and Gidget M. Bridgeford, brothers; Bryan Dwight Bridgeford and Adam Raye Bridgeford, five grandchildren and many family and friends.
A visitation will begin Friday, September 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at Whitehurst Funeral Chapel of Dos Palos, followed by the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. Burial at The Dos Palos Cemetery District Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Whitehurst Funeral Chapel-Dos Palos.
