Manuel "Yogi" G. Rodriquez, Jr., 78 years old, a long-time resident of Firebaugh, California passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at the VA hospital in Palo Alto, California.
Manuel was born in Fresno, California the son of Manuel and Jennie Rodriquez.
Manuel met the love of his life Cynthia and married her on June 22, 1968, in Brentwood, CA. He was highly decorated a Vietnam combat veteran.
Manuel was a member of the VFW Post 7380 Firebaugh and commander for 8 + years. He attended and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Firebaugh. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and all his family. He will be greatly missed and remembered by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Manuel C. and Jennie Rodriquez and one sister Dolores Espinoza.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia Rodriquez, children: Manuel Rodriquez III, Andre Rodriquez and Rica Guerrero, 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, three brothers: Frank, Gabriel and Chris Rodriquez and many family and friends.
A visitation will be held Friday, April 25, 2025, at 9 am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Firebaugh followed by the Rosary at 10 am and Funeral Mass at 10:30 am.
Burial at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery with military honors at 1:30 pm.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapels ~ Dos Palos.
