Eldoris Painter, 66, of Twain Harte, passed away in Sonora, on August 2, 2013. Eldoris was born in Modesto, Ca and was raised in Los Banos. She attended local schools and graduated from Notre Dame High in Salinas, Ca. Eldoris married George “Junior” Painter in 1966, they had three children.

Eldoris worked for the Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer for 12 years and retired as a Correctional Counselor after 28 years.

Eldoris was a woman of strength, courage and integrity. The foundation of her life was her faith.

She is survived by her husband Junior of Twain Harte; Her two children: Marie Eicher of Pennsylvania and Chad (Penny) Painter of Elk Grove; and two grandchildren, Lindsey Dorman and Jonathon Eicher; One sister, Bernadette Nunes; and her Painter family in-laws.

Eldoris is preceded in death by her parents: John T. and Mary Brazil; and her son Troy.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at the Los Banos District Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Whitehurst Funeral Chapel~ Los Banos.
